Description
Individual Communication is a private, one-to-one messaging channel between a parent and their child's specific class or subject teacher — separate from Group Communication, which is shared with the whole class/section group.
Features
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Direct Teacher Messaging | Parent selects their child, then messages that student's specific class or subject teacher directly. |
| Private Thread | The conversation is visible only to the parent and the teacher; school admins retain oversight access for accountability. |
| Per-Child Context | Each thread is scoped to one student, so a parent with multiple children at the institution keeps separate threads per child and teacher. |
| Teacher Reply | The teacher replies directly within the same private thread. |
Benefits
- Lets parents raise concerns about their own child privately, without exposing them to the whole class group.
- Keeps sensitive conversations — behavior, grades, health — out of the broader group feed.
- Gives teachers a focused, per-student channel instead of a busy group thread.
Note
Use Individual Communication for private, per-child conversations with a specific teacher. Use Group Communication for class-wide announcements, activity sharing, and updates meant for the whole group.
